Elliot Page Releases Explosive Memoir

Actor Elliot Page has officially released his intimate autobiography, “Pageboy” on Tuesday, 6 June.

In the “brutally honest” memoir, the Oscar-nominated “Juno” star recounts the struggles he faced during his transition from woman to man, some of the tougher moments that came with it and even some blush-worthy details on some of his past relationships.

Told in non-sequential flashbacks and flash-forwards, Page – who is one of Hollywood’s most high-profile transgender stars – shares how even when he was a young child, he wanted to be a man.

The “Umbrella Academy” actor came out via Instagram in December 2020 and was met with a slew of support at the time. However, he has also been open with the public that it hasn’t always been an easy transition.

While promoting the book, the 36-year-old told an international publication on Sunday, 4 June, that he was still subject to bigotry from others, the most recent was last year when someone shouted a series of slurs at him on the streets of Los Angeles, California.

“Books have helped me, saved me even, so I hope this can help someone feel less alone, feel seen, no matter who they are or what path they are on,” Page said as he advertised the memoir ahead of its release.
